As the CIO for the MFB, I first met Rob when he was a consultant for Gartner, and I was immediately impressed by his clear and analytical thinking around effective leadership, managing change, and developing effective teams. Rob translated this into rational coaching and mentoring. After joining the City of Greater Geelong as CIO, we embarked on a significant digital transformation, and I had no hesitation in bringing Rob on board to lead initiatives around supporting and developing the team through cultural change, building an effective leadership team, and considering the wider implications of the psychological safety of our work force. It's always beneficial to pull in experts around you when embarking on major initiatives, and Rob helped to deliver the results we were looking for. Rob also allowed me to stand on his shoulders and benefit from his depth of experience. I would have no hesitation in bringing Rob in to work through leadership issues, cultural challenges, effective change leadership and having a wise set of ears to listen and hands to guide.
